Description
Newland House, located at No. 68 on the south side of Newland, is a building that likely dates back to the 17th century. The front is roughcast and has been altered over time. It features 19th-century sash windows, including a bay window on the ground floor. At the left end of the front, there are two oval windows that are now blocked, each made from a single stone. Rusticated pilasters are present at this end of the building. The roof is new and covered with slate. The doorway is in the late Georgian style, adorned with small fluted pilasters, an entablature, and a curved pediment.
Newland House is part of a group that includes Nos 60 to 68 (even) and Nos 2 to 4 (consecutive), along with the wall and gate piers to the west of No. 2 Newland Gardens.
