Description
This is a row of four cottages, numbered 5 to 9 Salisbury Road, built in the late 18th to early 19th century. They are constructed of colour-washed stone rubble. Each cottage has two storeys and two bays, with thatched roofs. The windows are 2-light casements with small panes of glass; all ground-floor windows, except one, have segmental heads. The doorways are also segmental headed, with wooden boarded doors.
A war memorial, located on the premises of W Fanner and Son Sheerness Cottage, Cann Court and Knapp Villa, forms a group with a dwarf wall, railings, gates, and gate piers.
