Description
The cider-house and attached cart-shed, located 30 metres east-north-east of Bettiscombe Manor House, date from the late 18th century. The cider-house features bubble walls with brick quoins and dressings, topped with a hipped slate roof. It has a south doorway with stone plinth blocks and retains remains of cider machinery, including an apple shute, mill, and press. The attached cart-shed on the left has rubble walls with brick quoins and a hipped slate roof. It has four bays open on the north side, supported by wooden posts with stone bases, and features tie and collar-beam roof construction. This structure is included for its group value.
