Description
The Old George, with an attached outbuilding at the rear, is a former public house known as the George Inn. It dates from the early 19th century and features ashlar stone walls and a slate roof with stone gable copings. The building has two storeys and three windows, which are sashes with glazing bars and stone cills. There is an elliptical-arched carriage entrance on the left side of the ground floor, made with stone voussoirs, leading into the back yard. An iron sign bracket remains on the side wall. The attached outbuilding at the rear is constructed of rubble stone and has a segmental brick arch with plank doors.
