Description
Sutton House is a house located on Puddledock Lane in Sutton Poyntz, Weymouth. It dates from the early 19th century and was originally a service wing to a larger farmhouse, now divided into two separate occupations. The building is constructed from rubble with a slate roof and features two long parallel ranges with a central valley gutter.
The entrance front has two storeys and includes four windows, all of which are small-pane, three-light casements with segmental heads. There is a small single light window at each floor on the left end. On the ground floor, the second bay has a pair of doors, while the third bay features a single large door with a small-paned upper half, including margin panes. At the right-hand end of the building, there are brick gable stacks, and the rear wall has three two-light small-pane casements with segmental heads.
The interior has not been inspected. This building was part of Sutton Farmhouse, and the front range is now known as Sutton Lodge.
