Description

Sutton Lodge is an Early 19th century house, originally the front range of a larger farmhouse. It is a handsome, symmetrical three-bay building with a low-pitched hipped slate roof and two rear stacks projecting from deep, enclosed eaves. The facade features 12-pane sash windows in plain reveals, and a central panelled door sheltered by a large gabled glazed porch with a radial fanlight and side lights, incorporating glazed returns. A 12-pane sash window is located on each floor of the right (south) return. The interior has not been inspected. Sutton Lodge was the front wing of Sutton Farmhouse; the rear service wings of the original farmhouse now form the separate dwelling, Sutton House.
