Description

This is a 19th-century barn located approximately 40 metres south of Manor Farmhouse in Melbury Abbas. The barn is constructed from coursed, square rubble and features a tiled roof with stone-slate margins in some areas. It has ashlar dressings and a buttressed west porch with a hipped roof. The structure includes narrow ventilation loops and is designed in an L-plan. Inside, it has four bays and retains its original collar-truss roof, which includes two levels of through purlins.
