Description

This barn, located 15 metres south of Manor Farmhouse, dates from the mid-18th century. It features rubble-stone walls with ashlar quoins and has a loop in the north wall. The interior is lined with chalk blocks and topped with a hipped corrugated iron roof at both ends. There is a through-entrance on the north side with two-leaf plank doors, and a square projecting entrance porch on the south side. Inside, the barn has a collar-beam roof construction from the 18th century, which is halved and pegged, along with two sets of butted-and-pegged purlins.
