Description

Church House Farmhouse is an early 19th-century detached farmhouse situated in West Chelborough Hamlet. The farmhouse is constructed of rubble stone walls with ashlar stone quoins. It has a slate roof with stone slate eaves and stone gable-copings, and stone stacks at the gable ends. The farmhouse has two storeys and a basement. The front elevation has three windows: two are tripartite sash windows with glazing-bars and square stone architraves, while the central window on the upper storey is a single sash window. A central front door features square stone jambs and a moulded stone cornice. The door itself is flush-panelled with two top lights, and dates to the 19th century. A short rear wing, also dating to the 19th century, has two storeys and a single window, which is a three-light design with square stone mullions and 20th-century metal casements.
