Description

Nos 31 to 33 on High East Street are a pair of buildings dating from around 1854. They are constructed from colourwashed brick and stand three storeys tall. The buildings feature a moulded eaves cornice and a parapet. There are six ranges of sash windows with glazing bars. The contemporary shopfronts are notable for their entablature supported by elaborate brackets and early plate glass windows. These buildings, along with the Municipal Buildings and Nos 28 to 33, form a cohesive group.
