Description
Nos 628 and 629 on Blandford Road are a pair of cottages, likely built in the 18th century. They feature plastered walls and a thatched roof, with brick chimney stacks. The cottages are two storeys tall, although the end wall of No 629 has been rebuilt in brick. At the rear, there are single-storey lean-tos with brick walls, partially plastered and topped with corrugated iron roofs.
No 628 has part-glazed ledged doors, and both the ground and first floors have two casement windows with glazing bars. In contrast, No 629 has a part-glazed door on the ground floor, along with one casement window and one fixed window, both featuring glazing bars. The first floor of No 629 also has two casement windows with glazing bars. Inside, the ground floor rooms showcase exposed ceiling beams.
