Description
High Grove Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1620. It is constructed of coursed rubble and features a tiled, gable-ended roof. There are brick stacks on the right gable and one bay on the left. The building has 1½ storeys and approximately five windows, which are mainly 20th-century two and three-light casements with glazing bars. The entrance includes a six flush panel, part-glazed door with a 20th-century tiled porch, and there are three 20th-century gabled dormers. Inside, there is a fireplace with a chamfered bressummer and jambs, and the original roof remains in place. An inscribed stone over the south door reads 'TS 1620'. Originally, the house had a through passage away from the stack, but this has been altered in recent renovations.
