Description
The Old Mill House is a detached former mill-house, now a residence, dating from the late 18th century. It features rubble stone walls and concrete tile roofs with stone gable copings. There are rebuilt brick stacks at each gable. The building has a front range with a short rear wing and stands two storeys high. It has three windows, which are three-light and two-light wooden casements with horizontal glazing bars, along with wooden cills and lintels. The central entrance has a plank door with wooden frames.
Historically, this house served as the foreman's residence for Richard Robert's spinning mill located immediately to the south, which operated during the 1780s to 1790s.
