Description

MAPPOWDER MAPPOWDER: ST 70 NW VILLAGE 8/100 Old Boywood Farm - II House, late C17 but possibly including some earlier material. Brick (flemish bond) and render, double Roman tile roof With gable ends. 2 storeys, 4 window range. C20 2-light casements with horizontal glazing bars. Right hand ground floor openings under segmental brick arches. Single storey half-hipped thatched, rubble extension right. Internally there are stowed, shallow chamfered ceiling beams and one room has a ceiling of intersecting deep chamferred beam. "RCHM, Dorset, Vol III," p 148.
