Description

Spring Garden is a former pair of cottages, numbered 86 and 86a Blacknoll, dating from the 18th century. The building features plastered cob walls and a thatched roof, with brick stacks. It stands two storeys tall. The main elevation includes a brick porch topped with a slate roof and a ledged door. On the ground floor, there are three metal windows and a modern bay window. The first floor has two timber casement windows, one metal casement window, and one horizontally sliding sash window, all of which have glazing bars. At each end of the building, there are single-storey lean-tos with roofs made of corrugated iron and asbestos. Inside, some chamfered ceiling beams are still visible.
