Description

This is a mid-18th century building, with alterations, located on Salisbury Street. It comprises three properties, Nos. 69 to 73, and originally had a uniform appearance. The frontages are of stucco, with No. 71 being red brick. The building is two storeys high with an attic. Each property originally had one window bay and one door. Nos. 71 and 73 feature a brick dentil cornice. No. 69 has a 19th-century shop window and doorway. No. 71 includes a two-storey splayed bay window and a six-panelled house door within its frame. No. 73 has a modern house door and a ground floor window, and is included on the heritage list primarily for its contribution to the group value of the street. Inside No. 69, in the East room on the ground floor, there is some fielded panelling, as noted in the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments. Nos. 69 to 77 (odd) are recognised as a group.
