Description
The disused lime kiln located on Knowle Hill, 550 metres northeast of the parish church, is a former limekiln that likely dates from the 19th century. It is constructed from rubble stone and features a semi-circular kiln recess with a brick arch and a fire grate at the rear. To the left of this recess, there is a pointed arched opening that leads to a second chamber situated at a high level. The east wall is buttressed. This kiln is an interesting example of its type and remains largely intact.
