Description

The Old Vicarage is a former vicarage, now a house, dating from 1843. It is constructed of ashlar stone walls with slate roofs, stone gable-copings, level kneelers and brick stacks at each gable. The house comprises a central range and lower, flanking side wings.

The central range is two storeys high with three bays, the central bay projecting forward. It features sashes with thin glazing-bars. The central bay also has a gable with a cross above. A plank front door has a rectangular fanlight above and marginal glazing-bars, dating to the 19th century. A pentice-roofed ground-floor window has sashes and pilaster framing. The side wings are two storeys high (though lower than the central range) and have a single sash window with glazing-bars. The slate roofs are hipped to below the main gable apices. A projecting two-storey section at the right-hand end of the house formerly served as a cowhouse.
