Description

Adams Cottage is a detached farmhouse, likely dating from the 18th century, or possibly earlier. It has walls of dressed stone set on a plinth. The roof is thatched, with stone gable-coping to the right-hand gable, featuring an ogee-moulded kneeler; it is half-hipped on the left-hand side. Two brick stacks are visible, one at the left centre and one at the right-hand gable. The cottage is one-and-a-half to two storeys high with four windows. The windows are 3-light wooden casements with glazing bars, and a single 2-light casement sits above the front door. Wooden lintels and cills are present. A plank front door, positioned to the right of the centre, includes a single glass light, which is a 20th-century addition.
