Description
No. 6 Wakeham is a small house from the early 19th century, part of a row of similar buildings in Easton, Portland. It is constructed from coursed and squared stone and features a slate roof. The house has two storeys and an attic, with a single window on the front. Above the four-pane sash window set on a stone cill, there is a small hipped eaves dormer that contains a 12-pane casement window. Notably, there is a square bay multi-pane former shop front, which is a rare example, situated on a rendered stall riser and topped with a moulded cornice. To the right of the shop front, there is an 8-panel door located within a 20th-century gabled porch. The building has a plinth, large flush quoins, and a flush band at half the height of the first-floor window. There is a brick stack on the left side that is shared with No. 8, which is not included in this listing.
