Description

No. 23 is a detached house dating from the late 18th century. It is built of squared coursed stone with good flush dressings, while the back and ends are rendered. The house has a slate roof and features a 2-unit plan with a central entry. The symmetrical front has three storeys and two windows. The third floor has 3/3-pane sashes, while the second floor has 6/12-pane sashes above 12/12-pane sashes. The central 20th-century door is located under a small transom light and leads to a stone landing accessed by four steps. There is a simple railing with spear heads on the left and a plain handrail on the right. A brick stack is positioned on the right side of the house.
