Description

The Gray and Rogerson Monuments are two table tombs located 8 metres southeast of the chancel of the Church of St Mary in Charminster. They date from the later 17th century and are made of stone, featuring plain stone sides, a wave-moulded cornice, and a flat top block. One tomb bears a capital letter inscription commemorating Robert Gray, who died on 14 May 1656. The other tomb is dedicated to Lewes Rogerson, who died in 1660, and also features a capital letter inscription.
