Description

The bridge in Moreton Park, built in 1836, is a notable example of iron construction. It features iron joists that support the roadway, which is suspended from low segmental iron arches. At each end of the bridge, there are turned iron balusters that support an iron coping. The bridge is also distinguished by circular stone piers at each end of the parapet. This construction is unusual for its time.
