Description
The Post Office is a house that is partly used as a shop, likely built in the mid-18th century. It features plastered cob walls and a thatched roof with brick end stacks. The building has two storeys and includes two part-glazed panelled doors. On the ground floor, there is a 20th-century shop window with glazing bars beneath a hipped thatched roof, along with one small 20th-century casement window and an 18th-century oak casement window, although the glazing has been removed from the latter. The first floor has four 18th-century oak windows with head lights and one small 20th-century casement. At the rear, there is an original 18th-century door frame. Inside, the shop features a large open fireplace with a timber lintel, and there is a simple plank and muntin partition on the first floor.
