Description

The dovecote and attached open shelter building, located 60 meters south-west of Church Farmhouse, dates from the 17th century for the dovecote, while the date of the shelter is uncertain. The dovecote is constructed of ashlar stone and features a half-hipped tiled roof, along with a chamfered plinth. The shelter is timber framed, resting on stone plinths, and has a hipped thatched roof. Inside, the dovecote is lined with nesting boxes made of thin stone slabs supported by square blocks. This structure is part of a significant and relatively unchanged group of farm buildings.
