Description

44 High West Street is a building dated 1635, featuring a two-storey plastered front that may be of similar age or earlier. It has an old plain tile roof with stone slates at the eaves. The doorway is from the 18th century and resembles that of No 43. Above the hood, there are advertisement boards for a tea shop. There is a sash window above the doorway. To the right of the front, there is a two-storey splayed bay, which does not have any original glazing bars. Nos 41 to 45, which are consecutive, form a group.
