Description
Penadlake Farmhouse is a house dating from the early 18th century, with a late 18th century wing at the rear and a mid-19th century extension featuring a catslide roof. The building is constructed of rubble stone and has a slate roof, which has a slightly curved hip on the left side and is gabled on the right. There are projecting stone chimneys at both ends, with brick stacks at the rear.
The house is two storeys high and has an almost symmetrical front with two windows. The doorway is off-centre to the right and features a slated hood and a glazed door. On the ground floor, there are two 2-light timber casement windows with glazing bars. The left window has a segmental arch with dressed stone voussoirs, while the right window has a concrete lintel. The upper floor has similar windows under timber lintels. At the rear, there is a projection for a cloam oven.
The interior has been altered, and the roof timbers were not inspected.
