Description

The road bridge over the River Strat, built in the early 19th century, features stone rubble that is roughly coursed below a platband, with brick dressings. It is a single span bridge with brick arch rings, a stone curving platband below the parapets, and brick capping on the parapets. The end piers are capped with granite. On the east side, there is a slate boundstone inscribed "BC 1839" built into the continuation of the parapet wall.
