II

Farmhouse. Circa late C17, much remodelled in early C19. Local stone rubble. Asbestos slate roof with hipped ends and corrugated metal sheet roof over rear service rooms. Brick end stacks. Plan: Probably a two room and through passage plan although the existing passage is very wide. Symmetrical three window front with dressed stone flat arches with keyblocks to openings. C19 6-panel door with probably C20 24-pane sashes to right and left and three probably C20 24-pane sashes on first floor. Rear elevation with brick arched openings and rectangular stair window. Interior: Wide entrance hall with lath and plaster partitions. C19 Delabole slate chimney-piece in right hand room. The widely spaced first floor joists to the front range are fairly heavy, chamfered with run-out stops and appear circa mid C17 in character. Circa early to mid C19 floor joists to kitchen on rear right and early to mid C19 stair with square newels and stick balusters to rear left. Roof structure not inspected.
