Description
This building is a cold store, located 15 metres to the east of Polapit Tamar, and is likely from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of stone rubble and dressed stone, topped with a slate roof that has hipped ends. The building has an overall square plan, consisting of one room on each of its three floors. The basement was probably used as a dairy, while the two upper rooms served as a cold store.
The exterior features three storeys, with the lower floor partially below ground level. It has stone rubble and dressed granite angle buttresses on the first two storeys, and narrow slit openings in the front elevation. The entrance is located on the right-hand side, and there is a moulded dressed stone cornice. The interior has not been inspected.
