Description
Godolphin House, at number 21, and the adjacent property at number 22, date from the early to mid-19th century. Godolphin House is constructed from snecked granite rubble, with a granite plinth and one string course. Number 22 is stuccoed. Both properties have slate hipped roofs. The buildings are two storeys in height and feature five windows each. The ground floor windows are large sashes, with one incorporating margin lights and glazing bars. Slightly recessed doorways are topped with cornices, with number 22’s doorway distinguished by consoles. The property is included on the list primarily for its group value with numbers 19 to 28 on Chapel Street.
