Description
Trevemper Bridge is a bridge over the River Gannel, originally named in 1613 and repaired in 1701, with the current structure dating from the early 19th century. It is built of slatestone rubble with granite dressings. The bridge features a single span with a round arch that has a dressed granite arch-ring and keystone. There are two triangular cutwaters with granite quoins and refuges on both the upstream and downstream sides. The parapet wall on the upstream side has been rebuilt and reinforced, which has blocked the refuges on that side. The parapet walls are approximately 70 centimetres high and have granite coping. The bridge measures about 15 metres long and about 2 metres wide.
