Miller's house. Circa early-mid C19. Killas and granite rubble with dressed granite quoins, jambstones and lintels, slate sills. Grouted scantle slate roof with brick chimneys over the gable ends, the right hand gable end now a party wall with the taller Anvower Mill qv. and the chimney was heightened when the mill was built circa mid C19. Plant: 2 rooms with entrance lobby and stair between, the right hand room slightly wider, probably the kitchen/living room, the left-hand room probably the parlour. Adjoining the slightly later Anvower mill, qv., right. 2 storeys. Nearly symmetrical 3 window south-east front with the doorway central to the fenestration and all grouped slightly to the left. Circa 1930s glazed porch with doors and 4-pane horned sashes of probably the same date but all in their original openings. Interior not inspected. Part of an interesting closely relating group of listed buildings at Lowertown including 2 mills and an institute.
