Description

Pilots Cottage is a building of probable late 18th-century origin, situated on Mousehole Brook Street. The structure is built of granite rubble and has a slate roof with a hipped end. It is two storeys high and originally featured three windows; these have been replaced with modern two-light casements. A passageway is positioned off-centre. The rear elevation, facing a courtyard, has been modernized. The cottage is included on the heritage register for its group value, forming part of a grouping with numbers 3, 7, and 11, alongside Bill and Biddy’s Craftman shop. Numbers 3, 5, and 7 are arranged around a picturesque courtyard that has been altered on two sides.
