Description

This large wellhouse, located 30 metres south of Tremagenna Farmhouse, is possibly from the 18th century or earlier. It is constructed from stone rubble and built into a bank, featuring steps that lead down into the well chamber. The wellhouse has a rectangular opening topped with a slate lintel. Inside, the chamber is accessed by steps and has a corbelled roof. It is situated alongside an earlier track that leads to Tremagenna Farm, which is located 10 metres southwest of the wellhouse.
