Description
21 and 23 Crockwell Street are a pair of mid-19th century town houses located in Bodmin. The buildings feature incised stucco on a rubble base and have a bitumen-grouted slate roof with projecting eaves supported by brackets. They are designed with a double-depth plan and stand two storeys tall, presenting a symmetrical four-window front. The central pair of doorways flanks a passage, with original 12-pane hornless sash windows, and the first-floor windows are set within moulded architraves, complemented by a first-floor sill band. The three pilastered central doorways are topped with a moulded entablature and cornice hood, each with overlights. The left doorway of No. 23 and the central doorway feature original single-panel doors, while the other door is glazed. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
