Description

The gate pier, located approximately 10 metres southeast of Trewoon Manor House, is a Grade II* listed structure dating from the late 17th century. It is made of granite ashlar with granite dressings and is square in plan. The pier features an entablature that includes a moulded architrave, an ashlar frieze, and a cyma moulded cornice leading to a bell-shaped cap. The ball finial on top of the pier is missing. This pier is the remaining one of a pair, with the other pier having been demolished and existing in pieces nearby.
