Description

Laundry Cottage is a house from the 19th century, built of stone rubble with a slate roof featuring gabled ends. It has rendered chimneys along the ridge and brick dressings. The cottage is two storeys high and has an asymmetrical front with four windows. On the right side, there is a gabled porch with bargeboarding, and a further entrance on the left through a half-glazed door. The ground floor has four three-light casement windows with diagonal glazing bars, while the first floor has two two-light casement windows on the left and two three-light casement windows on the right, each with two panes per light. The eaves are deep. This cottage is located at the end of Sir Thomas Acland's Wharf on the Bude canal and was formerly known as Round's Casting House.
