Description

This farmhouse, located about 100 metres northwest of the Church of St Wenna, likely dates from the 18th century and was remodelled around the mid-19th century, with few later alterations. It is constructed from granite rubble, partly rendered, and features a slate roof with ridge tiles and gable ends. The building has gable end stacks with brick shafts, and a stack at the rear right serves the outshut, which also has a brick shaft.

The layout consists of a two-room plan with a central entrance leading to a passage, with each room heated by a gable end stack. An outshut was added to the rear in the mid-19th century, which is a single storey and includes a kitchen on the right, heated from a stack on the right side, and an unheated room to the left.

The exterior is two storeys high with a symmetrical three-window front. The first floor features a central 19th-century sixteen-pane sash window, flanked by two 19th-century two-light eight-pane casements, although one light of the left casement was replaced in the 20th century. The ground floor has a central doorway with a 19th-century plank door, a 20th-century window to the right, and a 19th-century two-light six-pane casement to the left. All ground floor openings have granite lintels. The left end of the building has a single-storey lean-to, while the right end is rendered at the upper level and includes a two-light casement window in the outshut. At the rear, there is a central 20th-century door with casements in the outshut.

Inside, both ground floor rooms have 19th-century beams, and the fireplaces were rebuilt in the 20th century.
