Description

A pair of houses dating from around 1800, located in Stratton Terrace, Falmouth. The houses are constructed of coursed rubble with a concrete tile roof, featuring two roof lights and brick end stacks. They follow a double-depth plan. The front elevation is symmetrical with four windows on each floor, the ground-floor windows being grouped closer together. Shallow segmental brick arches with keyblocks are above the original 16-pane hornless sash windows. The central area features pilastered doorcases leading to original panelled doors, which are accessed by a wide flight of granite steps. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest. They are part of a significant group of 19th-century houses and villas.
