Description
The Jago Monument is a headstone located in the churchyard about 4 metres west of the tower of the Church of St. John. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of slate. The monument features a stepped nowy head with a raised carved cherub with wings at the top. It includes a valedictory quatrain dedicated to the children of Thomas and Elizabeth Jago, Jane and Maria Ann, both of whom died in 1808.
