Description

SW 97 NE ST ENDELLION ST ENDELLION 4/130 Leger stone of Caroline Billing et - alia O.25m to south of chancel of Church of St Endelienta GV II Reset leger stone. 1717. In~memory of Caroline, Rebekah, Elizabeth and Elizabeth daughter of William and Mary Billing. Slate stone, rectangular with shaped panel and well engraved upper and lower case lettering with serifs. Edges of panel decorated with hearts and scrolls with 4 angel's heads in corners. Verse in panel 'Death with his dart did pierce our hearts when we were in our prime Our parents dear your grief forbear Twas Gods appointed time, That time when we were to remove To Jesus Christ and Saints above, with them to live and praises sing To our alwise eternal king.'
