Description

This is a headstone located 5 metres north of the northeast corner of the north aisle of the Church of St Endelienta. It dates from 1729 and commemorates Elizabeth, the daughter of William and Elizabeth Martyn, who died in 1729, and John Martyn, who lived from 1730 to 1732. The headstone is rectangular and made of slate, featuring angels' heads and an inscription within an oval panel that has curved shoulders. The lettering is well-executed and includes serifs.
