Description

Stream works for Wheal Rosa, built in the late 19th century, features a dressed granite plinth with bronze beam fittings, originally housing a wooden beam and a hybrid wheel. This water-powered mine pump includes the remains of the beam plinth with beam fittings, the remains of the pump with a rising main and rose, a wheel pit, and the remains of the hybrid wheel. Additionally, there are associated reservoir, leat, and workings that also survive. This site is a particularly unusual example of its type.
