Description

The Village Pump is a village pump and walled enclosure dating from the late 19th century. The pump was manufactured by Godwin Quenington and has the serial number HL83. It features rubble walls and an iron pump with a dressed granite sink. The walls surround three sides of a rectangular platform, with the pump positioned near the center. The pump has a slender shaft, a curved spout, a fat fluted pump barrel, and a fluted domed cap topped with a finial. The sink includes a round basin and a drain hole.
