Description

This is a group of three tombchests located 1 to 3 metres north of the Church of St Cuby. They commemorate Joseph Grigg, who died in 1821; his son John Grigg and his wife Catherine, who both died in 1831; and John Grigg, who died in 1843. The tombchests are made of coursed ashlar slatestone and feature moulded bases and cornices. The lids are made of unmoulded slate and display upper and lower case serif lettering. Additionally, there is a slate panel attached to the side of one chest in memory of John Grigg and his wife Christine, who were formerly of Bodbrane and died in 1842.
