Description
This drinking trough, located 20 meters southeast of the Post Office in Duloe, was built in 1902. It was cast by McDowall Steven and Co Ltd at the Milton Iron Works in Glasgow and was erected through public subscription to commemorate the coronation year of King Edward VII. The trough is made of cast iron and features a narrow rectangular shape with rounded ends and a moulded base. The sides curve out to form a rolled lip, and there is an inscription panel on the south side along with a drain on the north side. It stands on a heavy cast-iron plinth that has rounded ends and a chamfered top.
