Description
The headstone of William Every is located against the east wall of the south entrance to the churchyard of the Church of St Cuby. It dates from 1771 and commemorates William Every, the son of John and Hannah Every from the Parish of Liskeard. The headstone features a moulded top with a shaped nowy-head. The inscription includes a verse in lower case lettering with serifs, which reads: 'Afflictions fore long time bore / Physicans were in vain / Till God did please Death meshoud seize / And ease me of my Pain'.
