Description
The tombchest of Mary Hodge, dating from 1684, is located 1 metre south of the south aisle towards the east end of the Church of St Julitta in Lanteglos-by-Camelford. This memorial commemorates Mary, the wife of Edward Hodge, who died in 1684, and their son William, who died in 1699. The tombchest is constructed from stone rubble and features a slate lid. It is inscribed with upper and lower case lettering in italic script, which includes a verse reflecting on life and death.
