Description

This is an early 19th-century town house, originally with two shops on the ground floor. The exterior is incised stucco on a timber studwork frame, topped by a dry slate roof with projecting eaves. The building is three storeys high and has a three-window facade. The first floor retains original 16-pane hornless sash windows. Above, the windows are late 19th-century sashes with six panes, except for a horned copy on the right-hand side. The ground floor has been altered to incorporate two shops, one with a late 19th-century shop front on the left and another with a mid-19th-century shop front containing small panes on the right. Later 20th-century fascias might conceal earlier 19th-century shop fascias. The interior remains unexamined.
